Here’s what we are working on this year!
So far this year…
Shod With Love is in a season of building.
As we prepare for our upcoming fall fundraiser, we are focused on creating an event that brings our community together in support of farrier education and horse welfare. This fundraiser will play a key role in helping us expand educational opportunities and continue providing resources for emerging farriers.
Behind the scenes, we are actively working to grow awareness of our mission—sharing our story, connecting with professionals in the industry, and building relationships that strengthen our impact.
We are also researching and identifying farrier schools and educational programs we believe in and want to stand beside. Our goal is to support institutions that prioritize craftsmanship, horsemanship, and the highest standards of hoof care.
Organizationally, we are laying a strong foundation. Our board members are meeting regularly as we finalize bylaws, structure our operations, and ensure Shod With Love is built to last.
We are currently accepting applications and developing clear pathways for involvement, as well as preparing to launch our online store—giving supporters a way to represent and invest in the mission through Shod With Love merchandise.
This year is about growth, structure, and momentum. Every step we take is centered on one purpose: protecting the horse by strengthening the farrier.
Fall Clinic Plans with Tyler Joos!
This fall, we’re taking the next step in our mission by hosting a specialized toolmaking clinic with Tyler Joos. Farriers will not only learn to craft their own professional tools, but will also work together to forge tools for starter kits that will be distributed to new farriers entering the trade.
Toolmaking is more than skill-building—it is a deeper understanding of the craft. When a farrier makes their own tools, they gain a stronger connection to their work, greater precision in their practice, and a heightened respect for the responsibility they carry in protecting the horse.
By combining education with direct impact, we are strengthening individual skill while simultaneously investing in the future of hoof care. This clinic represents what Shod With Love is all about: learning, craftsmanship, community, and lifting the next generation as we grow.
